Accommodation Tax in Aachen (City Tax)

Please note that the City of Aachen charges an official Accommodation Tax (locally known as Beherbergungsabgabe or Bettensteuer). To help you plan your stay, here are the most important details:
Amount: The tax is €2.50 per person, per night.
Applicability: The tax applies to all adults staying in hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments, or similar accommodations.
Payment: Please be aware that this tax is generally not included in the room rate. It will be collected directly by the accommodation on behalf of the City of Aachen.
